Each congregation of the Lord’s church is autonomous (self-governing).  We have no earthly headquarters, but get our instructions from the Bible only. Elders are men who meet the qualifications found in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1, and they are selected by members of the congregation to serve.

Duties of elders include:

1) Overseeing the work (Acts 20:28),

2) Feeding the flock (Acts 20:28),

3) Watching for the souls (Hebrews 13:17) and

4) Being examples to the flock (1 Peter 5:3).

The elders are held accountable to God to see that only the Bible is taught for doctrine. All other doctrine is false and will cause men to lose their souls.
